Named in honor of Rossini Club’s beloved pianist and longtime former member Richard Roberts, our February concert features pianist Diane Walsh performing works by two New Zealand composers: Douglas Lilburn and John Psathas. She also performs Claude Debussy’s Images Book 1 in celebration of the Centennial of his death. The concert also features soprano Shaunna Lucas, with pianist Eric Peppe, performing selections from Mozart’s Don Giovanni; and pianist Mark Braun playing Chopin’s Polonaise in A flat, opus 53.
The concert takes place Sunday, February 25 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke, 143 State Street, Portland. Suggested donation $10/5 seniors (students are admitted free of charge). And enjoy a brief reception after the concert where you can meet our performers.

The Portland Rossini Club is a group of Maine musicians that presents a monthly concert series of classical music in Portland, Maine. The club also runs a competitive music scholarship program.
Prospective performing members are chosen by audition and include professional performers, music teachers and skilled amateurs. An elected Board of Directors runs the Portland Rossini Club.
