The Public Concert Series of the Portland Rossini Club
Celebrating our 150th Season
Sunday, March 21st, 2021 at 3 p.m

Enjoy a virtual concert celebrating popular and folk music from Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 9.

Soprano Danielle Vayenas, baritone David Goulet, and pianist Kathleen Scott perform favorites such as “Danny Boy” and “How Are Things in Glocca Morra” along with Beethoven’s Folksong Arrangements of Scottish, Irish and Welsh Songs:

  • I dream’d I lay where flowers were springing by Robert Burns
  • Sweet power of song by Joanna Baille
  • They bid me slight my Dermot dear by William Smyth

Also, pianist Eric Peppe will perform Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 9 in E Major, Op. 14, No. 1

The concerts are free for students, and members of the Portland Rossini Club and Marston-Kotzschmar Club. For members of the general public, a suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated to help support our scholarship fund.
